The Museum includes displays on science, fashion, and local military, social and maritime history,
with hands on displays placing the emphasis firmly on fun. It is also one of NewcastleGateshead's most unusual conference
venues and offers a superb setting for drinkers or dinner.
More information on the conference dinner will be available nearer the time.
Committee Dinner (29 October) (Invitation Only)
The committee dinner will be held at Secco, Newcastle. Secco is a three storey venue which specialises in good quality Italian
drinking and dining inspired by the De Giorgi family's home region, Salentino in Southern Italy. Ristorante Salentino
specialises in a superb interpretation of authentic, yet simple Italian food, using the finest, seasonal ingredients from
Northumberland and the best of Southern Italian staples which is complemented by a wine list befitting the finest Italian enoteca.
The restaurant received a Hardens Remy Award for best New Restaurant Opening in 2005, one of only 10 restaurants in the UK
to achieve such an accolade.
