Coast and Castles

The stunning Northumbrian coastline is dominated by long golden sandy beaches and the castles of Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth, not to mention the official residence of the Duke of Northumberland, Alnwick Castle. Many first time visitors are surprised and amazed by the rugged beauty of the area. Still a well kept secret, many of our beaches are almost completely deserted - perfect for enjoying some traditional fish and chips!
