Alnwick Castle & Garden

Alnwick Castle is often known as the 'Windsor of the North', a foreboding medieval castle in Northumberland with stunning State Rooms which containfine furniture and paintings by Canaletto, Van Dyck and Titian. Home to the Duke of Northumberland, it is now equally famous as Harry Potter's Hogwarts School. The Alnwick Garden, created by the Duchess of Northumberland, features the impressive Grand Cascade along with fabulous planting and several other water features. The Garden also features Britain's largest tree house with 4000 sq ft of space link by 'floating' walkways amongst the trees.
